Why Hurricane do Occurs?

In short, if someone wants to know about the reason of hurricanes. It could be simply answered with reason. That it occurs because of the rotation of the earth. This fact could be further elaborated like the central line. Which comes between the earth between the north and south poles known as the equator.

The regions which lie over the equator are normally green and occurrence of rains, thunders, and storms are normal. When clouds from these areas passed from the dry areas like the west coast of Africa i-e Atlantic Ocean then dry and hot air of the Sahara desert meets the cold air of Atlantic Ocean cause the hot air to rise high to upper zone in the low pressure causing air to blow, the repetition of this cycle turn it bigger and much bigger and meeting a certain condition turn this air into a monstrous storm called hurricane.

Now one question that hits a human mind is that why do they rotate? It can be revealed with a reason i-e carioles effect that is caused by the rotation of the earth. If hurricanes occurs above the equator then it spins clockwise and if it’s below the equator then it spins anti-clockwise.

During the course of motion if hurricane collides with land areas then it will stop but cause a great loss to that area if not then it will get much worse by turning much bigger until it hits a land area.

The center of the hurricane is called eye of the hurricane. And it’s the most violent part of the disastrous event. It can engulf a place coming in its way.

Hurrican vs Tornado: What’s the difference?

The Regions Vulnerable to Hurricane:

Natural disasters are something that is tied up with the birth of the world. It shows its face with time to time with many forms. Like tsunami, earthquake, floods, hurricanes, and many things that wipe out the entire regions. The enlisted countries are more vulnerable to hurricane.

  • United states
  • Cuba
  • Madagascar
  • Vietnam
  • Taiwan
  • Australia
  • Mexico
  • Japan
  • Philippines
  • China

The above countries are unprotected against hurricanes. Because of its geographical position in the world. While the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean hosts countries that get hit often more. Including some of the 3 most intense cyclones on earth.

The Menace of Hurricane’s threat towards Pakistan and India:

Speaking of hurricanes? Of course, the United States comes in the top of the list which is more vulnerable to hurricanes as compare to others. However, Pakistan and India have also a great threat from hurricanes.       But due to Pakistan’s location, the emergence of small hurricanes toward Sindh (province of Pakistan) turns itself automatically towards Gujarat (Indian westernmost state). The activities of hurricanes in India are more than in Pakistan but if the hurricane gets bigger (a category five hurricane) then it can harm Pakistan as well.

The Most Devastating Hurricanes that caused many life and financial Casualties:

As mentioned before that United States is more vulnerable than any other place in the world which is hit by hurricanes several times in history.

Katrina is one of the most deadly hurricanes which cost a great loss. In August of 2005, the tropical wave of Bahamas met with now called tropical depression 10 which turned quickly into a storm with a speedy wind of 175 Mph. It moved towards Florida before hitting land turned into category 5 traveled through the Gulf of Mexico. It did eventually weaken into category 3 but still caused several causalities Florida and Texas with total deaths recorded of 1245.

Hurricane Mitch

In October 1998 second deadly hurricane recorded at the Atlantic Ocean caused the most horrible storm the world ever dealt with. The warm air Caribbean Sea grew quickly into category 5 hurricane drifted through Central America causing 11000 deaths.
